In her long Broadway and Hollywood career, musical comedy star Dolores Gray recorded only one studio album. Here for the first time on CD is that exceptional 1957 album complete with four additional single titles, her entire output for Capitol.

In 1963, the new singing sensation Wayne Newton joined Capitol Records as a solo act, under the tutelage of Bobby Darin. Newton's first three singles charted well, led by the Top 20 hit "Danke Schoën" (a staple of Newton's act for the rest of his life). This live concert was recorded at the Crescendo on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood in 1964. The first-time-on-CD concert includes "Danke Schoen" as well as three Bonus Tracks available for the very first time. In the late '70s, Newton remade his image into a slick Mr. Entertainment instead of the wide-eyed innocent of his early days. Newton became the king of Las Vegas by the 1980s; he won the Entertainer of the Year award more than any other performer; set a record as the highest-paid nightclub performer in history; bought the Aladdin casino, and managed enough spare time to win an international award for his most active hobby, the breeding of Arabian stallions.
